2014: The Year of Encryption
BBC published an interesting article the other day stating that 2014 will be the year of encryption. Here’s one of several quotes from the article:
“When you look at the increasing sophistication of malware, it becomes apparent that you need to establish highly protected enclaves of data. The only way to achieve that is through modern encryption, properly implemented.”
A year ago the word encryption was seen as a technical term used by tech nerds – and nothing of general interest to the society. But thanks to the whistle-blower Edward Snowden and the NSA scandal, encryption is now something important to all of us protecting sensitive information against people, companies or countries trying to access it.
