Edward Snowden Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize by Norwegian Politicians
I’m from Norway, so I have to mention this news article from VentureBeat saying:
“Baard Vegar Solhjell and Snorre Valen, who represent Norway’s Socialist Left party, have put forward Snowden’s name to the Nobel committee, they announced in a statement today. They argued that Snowden’s government surveillance revelations have made the world a safer place.”
It’s a good idea, but it’s not likely it will happen according to VentureBeat: “It would certainly be a strange turn of events if Snowden won the Peace Prize five years after President Obama received the award.” Read the rest of their article here.
